Adding printers, printer drivers, Samsung ML-2010, etc

Ongoing update on misc stuff about how to add printers in windows networks - with OSX 10.4 its mostly plug and play..as long as you have the driver!

How to add a Samsung ML-2010 printer:
1) The driver is NOT on OSX default install - so get the latest from samsung support websote (this link might work - version 2006-11-03)
2) Dbl click and complete the install - ML-2010 will nw be availae as one of OS X printers

add a windows network printer:
3) Applications->Utilities->Printer Setup
4) Add printer - select "More printers.."
5) In dialog make sure first edit is "Windows Printing" and second Edit select "Network Neighborhood"
6) Select you domain - for example "Workgroup"
7) Select the printer server - example "webmusic"
8) Even windows printers w no uid/pwd force OSX to prompt for uid/pwd - enter "administrator" and leave pwd blank .. OR enter your appropriate windows domain account
9) You should now get a list of known printers on this server - example ML-2010
10) in the printer model edit select Samsung and ML-2010 (installed in step 1,2) above

You're now set!
