Mail.app -

So for those of us coming from Outlook world here some changes/hints to ease the migration pain:

1) Got those fonts to a readable level:
a) Mail->Pref->Fonts - set all 3 to Tahoma (thanks you MS - a good readable font) and 11 pt except message font = 12pt
b) Turn off anti-aliasing for 12 pt and smaller fints in system prefs - see other blog entry on fonts (to be added later - these antialias fonts make me think I'm short sighted - all blurry.. grmpf)

2) In Mail world the root element is a mailbox (outlook folder) - you can have nested mailboxes.
a)You add a mailbox by selecting New mailbox OR right clikc within a existing mailbox
b) White folders (generated for example during import) cannot have mails in them, blue folders can.

3)

And now for some sizzle:

* get growl http://grpwl.info and setup the Mail.app plugin

Printer Setup in office

OK - so here's the braindump on how to get my office printer to work..

1) Get the IP address
2) Start Apps->Utils->PrinterSetupUtils
3) Add and select IPPrinter (the auto detect somehow doesn work because I haven';t got my MBP be a "proper" participant in domain..
4) Download the driver - our printer is a little fancy but luckily the vendor has a mac driver: http://www.imagistics.com/products/downloads.asp model im2550f
